Muscat: Investors are very excited about the new hotel Intercontinental Hotel Golf Resort and Spa which is being constructed at Muscat Hills. “We are pleased to be one of the partners in the Intercontinental Hotel Golf Resort and Spa at Muscat Hills, and we believe this project will be the first of several we will undertake in Oman,” said Glenn Squires, Chief Executive Officer and one of the principals of Pacrim Hospitality.
Squires, a former global chairman for the Intercontinental Hotel Owners Association, also said that Oman is one of the most exciting new tourism destinations in the world and they see huge potential within the Sultanate.
“We are currently considering additional projects. The Intercontinental Hotel Resort and Spa at Muscat Hills will be a unique property for Oman and the combination of an urban resort, golf facility and business hotel within the borders of the Muscat Hills planned community is an exceptional property and experience,” he said.
The hotel is set to open its doors in September 2018 and is likely to create 300 to 350 jobs in Oman.
The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract will be given in the last quarter of this year and the construction work for the hotel will be completed in 24 months.The hotel will feature about 250 guest rooms, leisure facilities with swimming pools and spa facilities with “hammam,” gymnasium and treatment rooms, and restaurants, ballroom and fully equipped meeting facilities and enhanced business services.
